#DearTRUMP

Dear Trump:

Hello I’m someone you don’t know I’m a Black person self-employed with somewhat of an education. I got my first job at 14 and I have Never been on welfare. Never been arrested. All of my immediate family members are employed and/or have their own businesses. My father, who is deceased, served in the military to a country who did not always treat people with our shade of skin as equal citizens under law. Although my father and I had our differences, I respect him for serving America’s interests even though America didn’t necessarily care about his, mine and our ancestors.

My grandmother always instilled in me the importance of work. Although she dealt with more racism and difficulty than I want to discuss, she made her own empire through hard work and by not making excuses. My grandmother also made sure that her grandchildren had the opportunity to go to some of the finest colleges and universities in the United States. Through her hard work and diligence she left a legacy that generations can be proud of and that we have to live up to.

I just wanted to let you know your ignorance, your arrogance and your deplorable lack of decorum is an insult to all people who believe in the good of humanity and want to do their best to be the best that they can be. You are the epitome of what a Spoiled Privileged Brat becomes when he/she doesn’t have anyone to say “No!” to their insufferable behavior.

Here is a short hand list of your infamy:

• You never served – your privilege got you off

• You have been sued for housing discrimination against Blacks in the 70’s
• You have hired undocumented Polish workers who were paid 4-5 dollars an hour to build Trump tower – they even lived on site
• Your model wife Melania Trump worked in the U.S. before having proper documentation
• You have a long history of lawsuits and fraudulent business dealings as in Trump University
• You are known for not paying your contractors
• Your former teacher and attorney Roy Cohn (right hand twink for Joseph McCarthy during the Red Scare) was instrumental grooming your attack stance
• Your ties to the mob got you concrete and favors in New York
• For such a successful businessman why the numerous bankruptcies?
• Companies owned by you are in $650 million dollars in debt
• Trump you called on Russia to hack Hillary Clinton’s computers
• Your history of misogyny appears to have no bounds you seem obsessed with your daughter Ivanka’s body
• You’ve been accused of raping your first wife – your lawyer doesn’t believe a spouse can be raped
• Sexual harassment seems to be a concept that is too difficult for you to comprehend
• Roger Ailes who was fired from Fox for his sexual harassment and predatory intimidation of female staff is now an advisor to your campaign

Donald, You are a race baiter and you make damaging simpleton statements and generalizations such as Mexico is bringing in rapists. All Muslims should be banned, all Blacks have bad schools and all Black teens don’t have jobs. You try to imply that a vote for you will make everything better. I strongly disagree. If people who share your ignorant and slave master beliefs would get one thing through their vacuous mind – it is people like me are not looking for a hand out. We want to be PAID equitably for our work and respected. We want access to the best schools, best professions and best places to live. In your mind you don’t see us as equal you and those like you see us as less than still all these generations after coming off the plantations that made your families and so many politicians rich. When we do have the money to get a home or an apartment it is more likely that people that share the same mindset as you discriminate against us “moving on up”. Trump people like you are a big part of the problem and you just don’t have enough humanity and decency to feel shame for it.

You have insulted so many people from all walks of life. I find it incredulous that the Republican Party has so little balls to put an end to this tacky reality show for your ego. You would rather destroy everything for your pompous chauvinistic Narcissism than to admit you are a campaign fraud. You are truly a sick man. Your callus insults to hard working people of the United States as well as those who served, is an embarrassment to all conscious souls on earth.

Understanding Why More Victims Of Violence & Abuse Won’t Come Forward

The following essay I wrote in response to the question of why some victims of violent crimes – especially rape don’t come forward. I hope this helps in the better understanding of victims’ mind sets and challenges.

Getting help becomes a full time job in itself.  It takes a considerable amount of time to do research. Finding the right help is paramount. Weeding through doctors, lawyers, clinics, hospitals, websites, referrals, references, emails, phone calls and the police is time consuming and at times frustrating.

Police – over worked, desensitized, might not complete paperwork or conduct proper or thorough investigations. Majority of police are men, and if the victim is a woman there might be power games being played such as the victim being made to feel they are overly emotional and that they should trust the police officer to do their job with no questions asked.

Victim may feel isolated and that they have no one to talk to. They also may feel pressure from family members, loved ones , friends  or co-workers not to come forward, to let the abuse go, or to not go to the authorities. They also may be threaten, intimidated and bullied not to come forward by the assailant(s), attorneys and others in their immediate circle and beyond in social media. Victims also have to contend with people saying it was their fault or that they are lying or it is all in their head – “That they are crazy!”

Shame is a big problem.  Talking about the crime can produce ridicule, self doubt and feelings of low self esteem. Repeating details of the crime or incident to doctors, police officers, lawyers, family and employer may cause further feelings of depression and shame.

Feeling violated again when the details of the crime become public record.

Women tend to be conditioned to not want to cause waves, to give others multiple chances, to take care of others more than they take care of their own needs.

Losing time from work pursuing justice or getting help might not be a viable option for some. Others may not have access to adequate health care or day care.

Getting help is expensive. Paying for transportation to go to appointments, to meet with police, to pay for additional expenses as a result of the crime can be daunting. If a survivor of violence is living pay check to pay check or doesn’t have a source of their own income, leaving or getting professional help may not be an immediate, cost effective or a realistic option.

The mental pain as well as the physical pain may take months, years or a lifetime to manage.

And what I found out in my own case that gave me a greater understanding of why so many women in the Bill Cosby case didn’t or waited years to tell their stories is:  just because one is a victim in a violent crime, there is no guarantee that you will be believed or helped by attorneys who want to make money. All victims of violent crimes are not a slam dunk in the money department and many lawyers don’t want to rock the boat by going up against a “Celebrity” with corporate connections and a fat wallet.

It is the victim’s ultimate choice to come forward and roll the dice or not. There are no guarantees that justice will win but by telling the truth, providing evidence and healing, one may turn from a victim to a survivor to a Thriver thus educating others while repairing one’s self.

Safety Tips For Female Joggers

After hearing about the brutal murder of jogger Vanessa Marcotte in Massachusetts, I wanted to share some safety tips. Violent crime can happen to anyone at anytime. We must be aware of that unfortunate reality. Females jogging alone with loud music blaring from earphones are an easier target than joggers running in pairs or with attack dogs. Please be safe and my condolences to the friends and family of Vanessa as well as all the victims of violent crime. Let us work together to create positive change.

Sir Rod Stewart by KAT

Recently, the Queen of England knighted him and now he is officially Sir Rod Stewart. The title is much deserved since Stewart has been rocking and entertaining fans since the 1960’s.

I’m a fan of his disco music as well as his heavy rock and roll and his ballads.

Curious George Zimmerman Back In The News

George Zimmerman is one of those people who is famous for murder.  Being acquitted for gunning down teen Trayvon Martin obviously wasn’t enough for “Curious George” who has repeatedly popped into the media landscape when their is a lull in peace and quiet. Zimmerman’s purpose appears to stir the pot and make people upset while he still attempts to grab attention. I think he wants his own reality TV show or to produce some other disturbing antic to keep his name in the spot light.

It was reported that George Zimmerman was punched in the face recently. Why is this national news? People get punched in the face every day. But “Curious George” is special so special in fact that he seems hell bent in fueling the fire of racism and violence.

Since the corporate owned media uses George Zimmerman as a racist instigating puppet, I thought it only fair to add this KAT TALES TV archival video of Johnny Fratto (now deceased) telling the story from Spring 2014 when George Zimmerman was scheduled to do a internet televised fight. “Curious George” turned into “Chicken George” after he became too frighten to actually step into the ring.
