Mark I. Blankenship is an interesting person. He looks more like a vampire than an attorney but yet he once practiced law until he stepped down due to irregularities in his business practice. You can find his legal back ground on the California State Bar website.
More recently, Blankenship has been in the news for helping his big Sugar Bear business partner Marion Suge Knight and one of his baby’s momma Toi-lyn Kelly selling sealed court video evidence to the pinnacle of journalism in today’s trump’s reality TV show society – TMZ. According to reports, it took several months for Kelly and Blankenship to get paid $55,000 for the video which shows Mr. Terry Carter getting run over twice by an enraged Marion Suge Knight. The former Death Row CEO was upset about his likeness in the movie Straight Outta of Compton and he wanted to be paid. So instead of handling the situation through attorneys, Knight decided to show up to the set and things went down hill from there escalating to the murder of Carter who according to sources was trying to help diffuse the volcanic situation.
Mark Blankenship and Toi-lyn decided to help Sugar Bear Knight by getting their hands on the surveillance footage that showed the death of Mr. Terry Carter by Suge and to sell the sealed court evidence to the virtuous TMZ. TMZ bought the tape for a reportedly $55,000 which was considered a steal since rumors were the pair wanted upwards of $500,000. Now the ride or die pair are indicted on multiple felony charges connected to the selling of sealed court evidence.
